Right or wrong

Right or Wrong,,,,,,

A perfect example for the dilemma we often face in any decision making.
A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other not.
Only one child played on the unused track, the rest on the operational track.
A train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the unused track and save most of the kids.
However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the unused track would be sacrificed.
Or would you rather let the train go its way?
Let’s take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make…………….
have u thought enough !!!!
Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. Save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally.
But, have you ever thought that the child chose to play on the unused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?
Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was.
This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the RIGHT is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how far-sighted and knowledgeable the wise are.
The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track were aware that the track was still in use, and that they would run away when they hear the train’s sirens.
Now, If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never expects that a train could come over on the unused track!
Further, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to such a track, we may put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in our attempt to save few kids thinking that the train may run over them, we might end up sacrificing hundreds of people.
While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decision may not always be the right one.
“What’s Right isn’t always popular..

and what’s popular isn’t always Right.”

Diluting Negativity with Postivity

I was preparing fresh lime water for the first time.

I ended up adding five times the amount of lemon than needed. It was a disaster!!

It tasted so sour that one sip of it would have been enough to make a dinosaur dance. I had to correct it anyhow.
However I wished that I could remove some lemon juice from water to make it taste perfect again! But alas! Some things can never be undone.

Some things can never be changed.

There was no way to remove the extra lime.

So what was the solution then?

The only way to correct this was to add four more glasses of water and dilute the lemon juice to make five glasses of fresh lime water.
This made me think…

Sometimes we cannot undo some things that have gone wrong in life.

Some wrong decisions, wrong choices, wrong investments, wrong actions, wrong associations, wrong words or wrong doings can never be undone.

So what is the solution then?

When you cannot correct what is wrong, do not waste more time over it.

It is like attempting to remove lemon from water.

Instead, get busy in adding so many right things in your life that the wrong seems insignificant.

We all have a negative side to ourselves.

We may not be able to remove or correct all our negativities. But we can definitely continue adding positive thoughts, positive reading and positive people in our lives and dilute the negativity.

We all have to deal with some easy people and some difficult people in our lives.

Do not waste time trying to change the difficult people. You will drain all your emotional energy in vain.

Instead spend more time with the pleasant positive happy people and the difficult people will not affect you any more.

We all have been through lows in life and we cannot change that.

But if we now add new highs in life, we will dilute the lows, isn’t it?

In the end life will seem ‘mostly high’.

We all have scars in life.

We all have been through some pain in life.

We all have made mistakes in life.

We all have unfulfilled dreams, unanswered prayers.
We cannot remove these bitter memories from life but we could get busy making new happy memories now.
Everything in your life will never be perfect.

Do not waste too much time correcting what is wrong.

Get busy doing the right things.👱👍

Ideal Boss

There were about 70 scientists working on a very hectic project. All of them were really frustrated due to the pressure of work and the demands of their boss but everyone was loyal to him and did not think of quitting the job.
One day, one scientist came to his boss and told him – Sir, I have promised to my children that I will take them to the exhibition going on in our township. So I want to leave the office at 5 30 pm.
His boss replied “OK, You’re permitted to leave the office early today”
The Scientist started working. He continued his work after lunch. As usual he got involved to such an extent that he looked at his watch when he felt he was close to completion. The time was 8.30 PM. Suddenly he remembered of the promise he had given to his children.
He looked for his boss,,He was not there. Having told him in the morning itself, he closed everything and left for home.
Deep within himself, he was feeling guilty for having disappointed his children. He reached home. Children were not there. His wife alone was sitting in the hall and reading magazines.
The situation was explosive, any talk would boomerang on him. His wife asked him “Would you like to have coffee or shall I straight away serve dinner if

you are hungry.
The man replied “If you would like to have coffee, i too will have but what about Children ??”

Wife replied “You don’t know ?? Your manager came here at 5.15 PM and has taken the children to the exhibition ”
What had really happened was … The boss who granted him permission was observing him working seriously at 5.00 PM. He thought to himself, this person will not leave the work, but if he has promised his children they should enjoy the visit to exhibition. So he took the lead in taking them to exhibition
The boss does not have to do it everytime. But once it is done, loyalty is established.
That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued to work under their boss eventhough the stress was tremendous.
By the way , can you guess as who the boss was ????????

He was none other than Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Ex- President of India…!!!

I was alone and everything was dark

Beneath me and above

My life was full of volts and amps

But not the spark of love
But now that you are here with me

My heart is overjoyed

You’ve turned the square wave of my heart into a sinusoid.

You made my life colourful with LED lights
You load things from my memory

Onto my system bus

My life was once assembly code

It’s now like C++
I like the way you solder happiness and joy with your love.

My circuits you can fix

The voltage ‘cross your diode is

much more than just point six
With your op-amps and resistors

You have built my integrator

Its difficult to survive without you

You’re my function generator
You’ve changed my world, increased my gain

And made my math discreet

So now I’ll end my poem here

Control, Alt, and Delete

Thoughts #3

Don’t Take Anything Personally— Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
Don’t Make Assumptions— Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
So always Do Your Best— Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

Act of kindness

Your kindness makes a difference.

Even if it is a very tiny act of goodness and you think no one notices, God notices.

Always remember that one little act of kindness can tilt the balance of an entire situation. One little act of kindness can ripple out in countless ways that you many never know about.

Avoid a negative approach to life. Why gaze down the sewers when there is loveliness all around us?

One may find some fault in even the greatest masterpieces of art, music, and literature. But isn’t it better to enjoy their charm and glory?

Life has a bright side and a dark side, for the world of relativity is composed of light and shadows.

If you permit your thoughts to dwell on evil, you yourself will become ugly.

Look only for the good in everything, that you absorb the quality of beauty.

I am fascinated by this lovely fruit. What lures me is its asthetic shape and red colour.

I’m going to jump down, turn around

And pick strawberries

Jump down, turn around a basketful

I’m going to jump down, turn around

And pick strawberries

Jump down, turn around a basketful

Strawberries have been used for medicine

To prevent sunburn and yellow teeth

They even taste good in a smoothie

And they come from the rose family

A strawberry’s not really a berry

And it isn’t even a fruit

It’s just a big, red end of a plant stem

And you know that is the truth

There are only 100 calories

In 16 medium strawberries

They can even fight against cancer

And they’re full of Vitamin C
