Tonight

The sky feels a little

The earth, a bit more welcoming; roomy.
Just like my being here is more than just an accident.

The stars are aligned to say that this could be my home.
This moment.

These people.

This city  that has too often made me feel like an outsider in my own body.
The crickets chirp,

And they seem to say that from this moment on,

Every breath is a whisper to God
Today, i found my place.

In this foreign and strange land,

This uncharted territory,

i have already struck gold.
I want to love these moments, this life,

before it all disappears.

I am settling in

I think this may be home.
