A wonderful gift

I never imagined you will give such a wonderful priceless gift for me which will remain etched in my mind forever

Its the lovely poem you have gifted for me my dear Dad.

After reading this poem I could do nothing but just give him a tight hug as my love and respect for you my dear Dad. We just cried like kids without a word for 5-10 minutes.

I know it is going to happen once again when your lovely princess will be going to her other home.

With his permission I am sharing his poem with you all

Feelings of a Father

My dearest daughter.

You are the source of my happiness and laughter.

How can I forget your smiling face?

When you saw me for the first time after coming in this world.

It was as if God was smiling through your lips.

To me you are God’s wonderful gift.

You gave my life a wonderful lift.

To me you are Gods Talisman.

Bringing fortune and well bieng in my life as much as you can.

I see a reflection of mine in your face.

You are made of my bones and flesh.

My blood runs through your viens.

My heart swells with pride as I see you growing up.

From a small bud to a fully bloomed flower in my garden.

The thought of you seperating from me.

Pains me a lot.

I have taken pains in bringing you up.

Its extremely difficult to rip off my heart and give it to someone else.

Anyways your wellbieng and happiness is my first priority.

For which I am ready to do anything even a sacrifice.

You marriage day will be a most memorable day of my life.

At the painful moment of your departure.

It would very difficult hide my tears behind the curtain of my smile.

As I am sure, it will be  my tears that will weaken you furthur.

When you will embrace me, a gentle tap of my hand on your back and the lovable caress of my hands on your face will sooth you a bit.

Your sweet memories will haunt me like a hallucination.

It’s getting difficult for me to control my tears while writing this.

I can’t write furthur with my salty tears getting  mixed with the ink of my pen.

From an unknown source

I’m sure you will enjoy this. One word in the English language that could be a noun, verb, adj, adv, prep is *UP*.Read until the end… you’ll laugh.
This two-letter word in English has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that word is *’UP’*. It is listed in the dictionary as an [adv], [prep], [adj], [n] or [v].

It’s easy to understand *UP*, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake *UP*?
At a meeting, why does a topic come *UP*? Why do we speak *UP*, and why are the officers *UP* for election (if there is a tie, it is a toss *UP*) and why is it *UP* to the secretary to write *UP* a report? We call *UP*our friends, brighten *UP* a room, polish *UP* the silver, warm *UP* the leftovers and clean *UP* the kitchen. We lock *UP* the house and fix *UP* the old car.
At other times, this little word has real special meaning. People stir *UP* trouble, line UP for tickets, work *UP* an appetite, and think *UP* excuses.
To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed *UP* is special.
And this *UP* is confusing: A drain must be opened *UP* because it is blocked *UP*.
We open *UP* a store in the morning but we close it *UP* at night. We seem to be pretty mixed *UP* about *UP*!
To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of *UP*, look *UP* the word *UP* in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes *UP* almost 1/4 of the page and can add *UP* to about thirty definitions.
If you are *UP* to it, you might try building *UP* a list of the many ways *UP* is used. It will take *UP* a lot of your time, but if you don’t give *UP*, you may wind *UP* with ( *UP* to) a hundred or more.
When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding *UP*. When the sun comes out, we say it is clearing *UP*. When it rains, it soaks *UP* the earth. When it does not rain for awhile, things dry *UP*. One could go on and on, but I’ll wrap it *UP*, for now…… my time is *UP*!
So, did this whole thing, crack you *UP*?
Send this on to everyone you look *UP* in your address book… or not… it’s *UP* to you.
Now I’ll shut *UP*…

Surprise !!!

Biggest suprise kept secret but revealed

My father too is poet

Taking his permission I am blogging one of his poems

Write a poem which is simple

For people who are simple.

Write a poem with clarity.

Which could be understood without any difficulty.

While writing poem

With words that are difficult

Is it for poets or for simple masses?

Poets too are a parts of simple masses.

While writing a poem

Think your self as a common man and not a poet

As common man understands the language of comman man easily.

These are my personal feelings

Sorry if I have hurt some poet’s feelings.

Thoughts #7

When oppourtunity does not knock a door

Then build a new a new door

Many a times we rely on god for this since we dont have confidence on our performance.

We feel ,we will be successful only when our luck strikes…this becomes our attitude and way of thinking.

Instead of this realise your self-confidence…think positively and move towards your goal..work hard..put in all your efforts to maximum extent.

Incase failure knocks you …its not the end of the world..be strong enough to stand up once again.

Keep on trying till you succeed..you will get success for sure.

Woman Makes a Man

I just loved this story!!!

Can’t recall when i read it.

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn’t too luxurious.
When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President’s secret service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner.
Following this conversation, President Obama asked Michelle, “Why was he so interested in talking to you?” She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her.
President Obama then said, “So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant?” Michelle responded, “No, if I had married him, he would now be the President Of The US.”
Believe it or not, sometimes it’s a woman that makes a man who he is! 🙂
So for the single men that are still searching for a wife, may God help you to find that help mate that will turn you from ” a nobody” into “a somebody”. For that single lady that is reading this, may you be that blessing no man can do without.

Dreams… I believe in my dreams, talk about my dreams, think about my dreams, plan for my dreams, create opportunities for my dreams, and I see myself already in my dreams.
The only way to achieve a dream is to talk about it, believe it, see yourself in it and create opportunities for it.
There is a great will-power that follows whatever you imagine. This will-power gets you going despite all odds and the dreams that are supposed to take you ten to twenty years to achieve are achieved in a shorter period.
Paper plans are not enough for dreams! Just see yourself acting out what you have imagined and by the time you get into it, you may think you are still in the process of imagination.
What you believe is what you achieve. What you imagine is what you become. What you think is what you experience.

12 th Rakshabandhan

Dear Nanhe

Its our 12th Rakshabandhan.

12 years ago I was overwhelmed to welcome you in this world.

I had been talking with you  before you came into this world by feeling and kissing our mothers womb. You would respond then by moving inside our mothers womb.I named you “Nanhe” means a small cute little fellow.

The day you were born 10th september it was one of the happiest day of my life. I had decided your name Kunal before your birth. I was standing outside the delivery room beside my father. The doctor came out of the delivery room straight to me and informed me ” Kiran !!! welcome your brother Kunal”.It was my mother who had told the doctor my name and I had kept his name kunal.

We then waited for mother to come outside with my small brother. It took about an hour. We just saw them both and went home.

We were back to hospital after 2 hours.Mother called me inside and asked me sit on her bed with legs crossed. She kept my brother striaght on my lap.It was the happiest moment of life you had  opened your eyes a bit looking at me and smiling.I had a strong desire to kiss you but I didnt since your skin was so so tender.

Its 12 years now since our love for each other has been increasing day by day.

Since last 3 years you had been keeping Raksha Bandhan gift as a secret and keep me guessing ,thats so sweet of you.

This year you have brought me a wonderful hand watch.. thanks my dear brother for such a wonderful gift..love you so much as vast as ocean.

Kitchen thoughts of my mother

Cooking food for a family is a wonderful thing.

While doing it I always sing

Chillies, coriander, garlic curry leaves and onions.

All them of them are my regular companions.

Red chilli powder, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon, cardamom and turmeric

Are spices which are very specific.

Tempering of spices in specific proportion with oil is very skilled art.

In cooking this an important part.

Most important is my love and dedication to my family members.

So I do cook with utmost care with my family members in my mind.

Which makes the food more tastier.

The sense of satisfaction on your face while eating food cooked by me, is that I need.
